Anahata is made up of two Sanskrit words: "An", meaning "not," and "Ahata", meaning "struck" or "hurt." Therefore, Anahata means "Unstruck" or "Unhurt."
The Anahata Chakra is considered the center of love, compassion, kindness, and emotional healing. It helps us develop healthy relationships, forgive others, and accept ourselves completely. This chakra serves as a bridge between the lower physical chakras and the higher spiritual chakras.
The associated element of Anahata Chakra is Air. Just as air flows freely and connects all living beings, the Heart Chakra allows love and positive energy to flow throughout the body and mind. When this chakra is balanced, we feel connected, peaceful, caring, and emotionally secure.
This chakra influences the heart, lungs, circulatory system, and immune system. Blockages in this energy center may result in emotional pain, loneliness, relationship difficulties, and a lack of self-love. However, a healthy and balanced Anahata Chakra promotes inner peace, compassion, harmony, and unconditional love.
When the energy of this chakra flows freely, we experience joy, gratitude, empathy, and the ability to give and receive love without fear.
